Adopt a Veteran by Sponsoring an Honor Block in Their Name
One of the important features of the future Veterans Plaza is the inclusion of 445 granite honor blocks with each one depicting the name of a specific veteran, their service branch and either the war or conflict in which they served or the dates of their service. See examples below.
The plaza is designed to honor all men and women who served and also features a series of sentinel posts which identify the 12 major wars/conflicts that our country has been engaged in as recognized by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
For those earlier conflicts, the Veterans Plaza committee has performed research to identify area veterans who served in these wars and are offering the public an opportunity to purchase a granite block to honor the service of those veterans depicted below. Please take time to read the brief profiles of each veteran and consider a donation of $250 to ensure they are permanently recognized for their service with a granite honor block as part of the future Veterans Plaza.
